I loved the Kessel tweet. I do like that most hockey players are humble, but at the same time they should be allowed to have opinions and call others out when they have CLEARLY screwed up.

I think most people that are calling out Kessel are doing so because of the mentality that you shouldn't call out or turn on your team. Just because Kessel is from USA doesn't mean he is part of the team. They didn't pick him. He does not fall under that unwritten rule and is well within his rights as an interested observer to criticize the makeup of team USA.

I think all the people involved in that team that got angry at Kessel were mostly just happy to have a scapegoat they could try to turn attention towards so people would stop focusing on every idiotic decision team USA made during this tournament. It's called misdirection. Don't focus on us, be angry at Kessel for being a big meanie!

Initially I wasn't very interested in this "gimmick" tournament. However, I love hockey & watched as much as I could, clearly impressed by Team NA.
They can get rid of the tie-breaking rules by having all teams make the playoffs with 1A vs 4B; 1B vs 4A, etc. That would have given Team NA another crack at advancing, a game I would have missed work to see, if necessary.
So, I'll watch again in 4 years. I'm sure the NHL & the PA will have it again as it no doubt is earning lots of revenue.

Phil is just a funny dude. The guy gets disrespected all the time and still (seemingly) has a great sense of humor about it. The new car from the 2011 All Star Draft probably helps a little.... OR NOT!
